Salmon Transportation

The export of fresh salmon by air involves 3 main steps: extracting the salmon from the farming centers, processing them and transporting them to the different markets.

Fruit Transportation

The blueberries are transported in containers of different sizes for storage, which are stacked on pallets in waxed cardboard boxes. Gelpack is added and finally covered with a thermal blanket to maintain refrigeration.

Transportation of Flowers

Prior to shipment, the flowers receive care such as: watering, disinfecting the stems, separating them with cardboard, using fungicides and controlling the ambient temperature.

The salmon industry's logistic chain is a long, complex process and a constant struggle to maintain an optimal cold chain that allows shipments to reach their destination correctly. To achieve this objective, key aspects of the industry's work are storage, refrigeration, transportation and export routes.

For the successful export of this product it is essential to have adequate logistics, controlling all the required processes, which is why we maintain a 24/7 team that simplifies the export process for our customers. Speed and efficiency are the key concepts for the export of salmon and therefore essential characteristics for our work teams.

At Nexus we are leaders in the handling of cherries to China by airfreight. We have established relationships of trust and teamwork with our customers, which has allowed us to develop and grow together over time.

Fruit exports are subject to multiple regulations established by the importing countries, as well as special packaging requirements to guarantee their arrival at destination in optimal conditions.

Among the fruits exported by Nexus are: berries, cherries, pears, grapes, apples, kiwis, avocados, lemons and cherimoyas.

Flowers must follow a cold chain from the moment they are cut, it is essential to maintain this cold chain, so they travel with timers to ensure that these cold requirements are met. It is recommended to add preservative to the water, to help the flower to obtain a better hydration and durability.

One of our highest priorities in the transportation process is to ensure that the products are received in perfect condition upon arrival at their destination. In the case of flowers, the unloading process is done box by box, taking care that the movements are delicate to prevent possible damage.

Prior to shipment, the flowers receive care such as: hydration, disinfection of their stems, separation with cartons, use of fungicides and temperature control so that they arrive beautifully at their destination.
